We’re here!

This is so exciting.  We’re enjoying being together and making memories.  But we miss you and want to share our fun with you.  This post is only a preview of what’s to come.  Many people will add their pictures and words, even videos, but right now they’re busy making the memories.
I’m sitting here in “command central” with Inta Tove, Aina and Rutt.

Family members drop by. Earlier when Inta Tove and Rutt were working on the family tree, Joan and Lowell stopped for a while.image

Here’s Karsten (notice the reunion t-shirt.) He has been chauffeuring people to various activities this afternoon: some are shopping at Bomlo’s shops (open from 10 to 2 today), some to visit with Knut and Marit, and some are hiking Siggjo, the mountain. image Napping may however be the most popular.

The weather is rainy and cool but quite pleasant. Message to sister Jeanine: your jacket is just perfect. Takk!

We have a reporter from the Strilen newspaper following us and I hear we will be a story in the Bomlo Nytt too. There’s nothing showing right now but you can check these links later: Bomlo Nytt and Stilen. We’ll ask a Norwegian Thorsheim to translate the articles later.

And here are more people dropping by: Karen bought flowers for the committee people. How nice! image

Christa and Anna have been shopping and are showing us their pretty new scarves. image .

Anna is blogging too. Follow hers, Anna Goes Everywhere, at annagoeseverywhere.blogspot.com.

We have already done and seen so much and there’s more to come. We have Inta Tove, Aina, Asta, and Marta, with help from a lot of people I think, to thank for this wonderful reunion. Mange takk!

Stay tuned.

  1. I am missing everyone there, but how wonderful to be able to “stay in the loop” and know what you are doing/where, in real time. Tusen takk Linda!
Warm greetings to everyone (to be 90F+ today here in Mpls), but I mean “warm” in the close, family sense. What am I doing? Quite a few things that added up to unavoidable conflict with reunion this time—maybe I’ll mention some in another post.
Have fun today (evening soon there)!!

There were just many factors that converged to prevent taking part this time. This blog is going to be tremendous for feeling like I am part of it. Tusen takk, igjen, Linda!
